Kaohsiung is located at the south western plain of Taiwan, and east longitude 120 degree 14'30 to 120 degree 23'30, and north latitude 22 degree 30'30 to 22 degree 45'30. The west side is Taiwan Channel and the south side is close to Bashi Channel.
